Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore, a stunning village in the Cinque Terre region of Liguria, is a vibrant blend of colors and tradition. Its pastel-colored tower houses overlook the crystalline sea, offering breathtaking views. Take your time to stroll through the narrow streets, visit the historic Church of San Giovanni Battista, or walk the famous Via dell’Amore to nearby Manarola, immersing yourself in the spirit of the place. You can also explore one of the many hiking trails leading to nearby sanctuaries and villages.

Manarola

One of the smallest villages in the Cinque Terre, Manarola is no less charming. Surrounded by ancient terraced vineyards, it sits on a rocky outcrop plunging into the sea. Its layout is defined by a series of narrow alleys, lined with tall, colorful houses connected by steep stone stairways. Don’t miss the trail to Punta Bonfiglio or a tasting of the famous Sciacchetrà, the Cinque Terre’s signature dessert wine. During the Christmas season, the illuminated Nativity scene on the hillside above Manarola is a must-see.

Corniglia

Corniglia is the only village in the Cinque Terre without direct sea access, perched on a rocky promontory about 100 meters above the sea. You can reach it by climbing the scenic “Lardarina” staircase or via a paved road. Of Roman origin, the village is surrounded by vineyard terraces that showcase its agricultural heritage. Wandering through its historic streets, you’ll experience a unique atmosphere and stunning views, like the one from Santa Maria Terrace.

Vernazza

Vernazza is one of the most iconic villages of the Cinque Terre, with its picturesque harbor framed by pastel-colored houses and the Church of Santa Margherita di Antiochia. Its long maritime tradition and rich history are reflected in its fortifications, including towers and the Doria Castle, one of Vernazza’s symbols. Ideal for lovers of history and the sea, Vernazza offers unforgettable sunsets and authentic flavors

Monterosso al Mare

The largest of the Cinque Terre villages, Monterosso al Mare is divided into two parts by a rocky promontory: the old port, with its traditional alleys, and the seaside resort of Fegina, featuring a sandy beach, waterfront restaurants, and the train station. During your visit, be sure to see the Church of San Giovanni Battista, the Capuchin Convent, and the Church of Sant’Antonio al Mesco. Perfect for families and beach lovers, this village offers a relaxing oasis once admired by intellectuals like Eugenio Montale.
